Image processing and computer-assisted data evaluation becomes more and more important in quantitative biology. Here you can find lists of commercial and open-source software which is available at the iBiOs.

Commercial Software

Imaris 9.5 from Bitplane (3d/4d image processing)
Huygens Prof. 21.10 from Scientific Volume Imaging (deconvolution software)
Huygens Remote Manager 3.7.1 using the Huygens Core license (remote deconvolution by web interface)
Matlab from MathWorks (programming environment for data and image processing). The Department of Biology and iBiOs provide concurrent network licenses as well as designated computer licenses for our two workstations WS Imaris and WS Matlab. Please, use this short manual (de version) for Matlab installation using the concurrent network licenses. These licenses are exclusively for members of the Department of Biology at Osnabrück University and for academic use only. Note, that our number of licenses is limited and we would like you to consider usage of compiled programs as much as possible. We provide a compiler as well as support for compilation of programs.
