Ckecklist for publishing data

  • The data are clearly named and the identifiers do not contain any special characters
  • All metadata required for the repository has been gathered
  • Sufficient information accompanies the data to assess the quality of the data and compliance with disciplinary standards
  • The data format corresponds to the format required by the selected repository
  • A suitable license was chosen

Selection criteria for platforms for publishing data (repositories)

  • Subject-specific repository required?
  • Data publication or publication of the data in connection with publication with the publisher?
  • Does the repository have to meet certain requirements (regarding access rights, data protection, DOI allocation, location, formats, data size, data structuring, metadata, licensing, etc.)?

Reference Funding (Update 19.06.2024)

Project results resulting from DFG-funded projects must be made available to the general public in an appropriate manner. Publications must contain the following reference to DFG funding:

Gefördert durch die Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Projektnummer(n)

or

„funded by the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG, German Research Foundation) – Projektnummer(n)“.

If a publication refers to several projects, the numbers must be separated by semicolons.

The project number of the referenced project can be found in the approval letter or in the GEPRIS project information system.
